In order to raise the living standard of low income Thai families, the Thai government has agreed to only let foreign men marry low income women. The aim is to get the foreign men to marry poor Thai girls and get the ladies out of poverty. The poor women are ready.
In the future, foreign men will only be allowed to marry Thai women with a yearly income bellow 120.000 baht. The new law has been approved after the suggestion was made by the Minister of Poor People, Mr. R. Obin Hood.

According to the Thai Minister there is a need for the new law, even thought the BNP in Thailand has gone up the last seven years.
- Yes, we are getting richer every year, but I don’t see any reason why we should forget about the poor people, we still have here. The foreigners have enough money, so they might as well leave it here, says Mr R. Obin Hood.
Poor Women are lining up
The new law will be implemented in the beginning of the new year, but the Thai women are already lining up, as a new dating site “Poor Thai Girls – Can do” has opened up by the American says @Herr Peter

In order to marry a Thai Girl in the future, the couple who wish to marry will have to submit a financial record showing that the girl is really poor and that the foreigner will be able to supply the girl with a decent life style.
